As far back as I can remember I wanted to be an artist. I loved my colouring books as a child and I was always happy with a pencil in my hand.
My student years I spent at several Swindon colleges learning the foundation of what I now put into practice every day. I didn't, however, proceed to university but decided to take the 'bull by the horns' and went into partnership with a friend designing and making clothes.
Since the cessation of that business my career steered further and further away from my dreams, until I was asked to draw a portrait of someone's deceased labrador. It re-kindled my love affair with art and was the turning point in my life.
Looking back now I don't see how I didn't make the connection between my love of animals and art. I am now lucky enough to be living my childhood dream painting mainly commissioned portraits of my clients' pets.
I still live in Swindon with my husband, Simon and my three furry children, Hannai, Molly and Minx (cats), plus two rabbits, Teddy and Monty. I also work in Swindon from a studio at my home which enables me to spend lots of time with my animals.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my on-line gallery. Please contact me if you would like any more information about my art work.
